Tonight the upcoming Seeso show There's... Johnny! has it's premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. And today a teaser of the series was released so we thought you Carson fans would love to check it out. I'm enthralled with the set that was created for this series! The debut is tonight at 6pm and they'll be screening 2 episodes followed by a panel discussion moderated by CNN media analyst and Sirius radio host Bill Carter (who was also the author of “The Late Shift”.)  Ordered to series last year, the show is set backstage at Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show in 1972 and follows two young staffers “as they both try to find their way and prove themselves in this period of cultural and political upheaval.” So check out the teaser and get excited for the debut on Seeso on August 24th. Also, here's a link to a great article by co-creator David Steven Simon titled When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again: The Return of Mr. Carson.

There's... Johnny! World Premiere is coming up at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 27. It's 1972, and everyone goes to bed together... with Johnny Carson, TV's biggest star. 19 year old Nebraskan Andy Klavin stumbles his way into a gig as a gofer at Carson's "The Tonight Show" and into a world that will change his life. There's… Johnny! takes a fictional comedic trip back in time, to go behind the man in front of the curtain, and look at the lives and loves of the people who make all of America laugh.

The Pilot episode will have it's world premiere on April 27 at the Tribeca Film Festival and then after the episode: A conversation with creator Paul Reiser, executive producers David Steven Simon and David Gordon Green, and cast members Tony Danza, Ian Nelson, and Jane Levy. Moderated by critically acclaimed author, Bill Carter

Remembering Don Rickles, he will be missed.

Mr. Warmth, never at a loss for words, a true comedy genius. He will be missed. Sadly we got the news yesterday that Don Rickles had passed away. As we began to compile some footage together for the tribute video included in this post, we were reminded that we won't see another one like him. Johnny came up with the famous nickname "Mr. Warmth" and like so many things that Johnny came up with, it stuck.  When we were discussing the idea that later became the Featured Guest Series, a collection of the most beloved guests that appeared on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, there was never a question about who the first guest would be. It just had to be Don Rickles. While reviewing the Don Rickles episodes for Volume 1 there were almost too many great appearances to choose from. Don Rickles made for a great guest, every time. I believe he was truly one of Johnny's favorites, and he certainly is one of mine. We'll miss you Don.

New Tonight Show ride opens in Orlando

Posted on April 06, 2017 by Dave - Carson Entertainment Group | 0 comments

The much anticipated Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon attraction opens today April 6, 2017 at Universal Studios Florida. The ride is a 3D motion-simulator based on Jimmy Fallon's tenure at The Tonight Show. One of the many cool features of this new ride is the Tonight Show museum that features exhibits celebrating all six hosts of The Tonight Show. Every host has their own display case, each with their own memorabilia. And naturally The King of Late Night, Johnny Carson is featured quite nicely. Check out this article at OrlandoParkStop.com that talks about the ride and what you can expect. There are some really cool pictures of the attraction and a big focus on the Johnny Carson portion of the exhibit. If you’re in Orlando, ride the ride and let us know what you think!
