Featured Guests Series - Volume 9 (Single DVD / No Case)
George Carlin was placed second on Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time list. Beginning in 1967, George appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson 105 times and always performed a stand-up routine. Carlin was also one of Johnny's most frequent substitutes during the show’s three-decade reign. In his early career Carlin's material and appearance were very mainstream, however that would change in the 1970's and George would become a representative for the burgeoning counterculture. Carlin unexpectedly stopped performing regularly in 1976 when his career appeared to be at it's height, he rarely performed stand-up during this period, but in the early 1980's he staged a comeback. Now we are pleased to bring you three quintessential shows featuring George Carlin.
